Samuel Wachsman is a third-generation real estate investment scion.
His legacy began in the early 1960s, when his grandfather, Jacob Frankel, pioneered the development of many
hundreds of affordable housing units for the City of New York. Those units, in addition to numerous other
multifamily properties, are still owned and managed by Star Management, the company Frankel founded nearly
70 years ago.
In the 1970s, Chaim Wachsman, Frankel’s son-in-law and Samuel’s father, picked up the family torch and
reignited a major development of affordable housing projects throughout NYC. Chaim later shifted his focus
to other real estate verticals, founding the Lincoln Equities Group, now heralded as a leading global real
estate firm.
By 2015, Samuel Wachsman brought a third generation of pride to his developer family with the founding of
Stalwart Equities. Stalwart is deeply inspired by traditions of community improvement, fiscal transparency,
and value-based investing. And yet, it is a thoroughly modern, opportunistic firm pursuing a long view.
